☕️ Ingredients in an Iced Peppermint Mocha
Skip the coffeehouse because you can totally make this Starbucks favorite at home with just three ingredients:
- Coffee
- Chocolate syrup
- Peppermint Mocha coffee creamer
I used International Delight® Peppermint Mocha creamer, one of the delicious seasonal flavors available for the holidays, for this recipe.
But if you’re craving an iced peppermint mocha when it’s not avaiable in stores, you can make your own peppermint coffee creamer with just a few ingredients.
🍫 How to Make Iced Peppermint Mocha
The next time you make a pot of coffee, save the leftovers in the refrigerator. Or get you one of those cool pour-over cold brewers.
- Combine the cold coffee and a few tablespoons of chocolate syrup. Stir well to combine.
- Pour into a tall glass over ice, then top with peppermint mocha creamer.
- If you’re feeling especially fancy or festive, add a dollop of homemade whipped cream, some peppermint sprinkles and a peppermint stick for garnish.
Such an easy copycat recipe and so delicious.
This iced peppermint mocha latte would make a great addition to a hot chocolate bar.

Switch things up with these variations to the classic iced peppermint mocha latte.
Serve it hot
You can totally serve drink hot if you’re looking for something to fight the chill this winter. Just add chocolate syrup to fresh-brewed coffee and top with a generous pour of peppermint mocha creamer.
We’re still fluctuating between 70-degree days and 45-degree days here in North Carolina, so I’ve been drinking it both ways lately as I wrap up my Christmas decorating.
Make a blended drink
Want to turn this recipe into a frappe, similar to a Starbucks Peppermint Mocha Frappucino? Place the coffee, chocolate syrup and peppermint creamer in a powerful blender with ice and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and garnish with whipped cream, dark chocolate curls and crushed peppermint candy.
Flavor Twists
- For a stronger peppermint kick, make with peppermint coffee.
- You can also add a splash of peppermint extract to ramp up the minty flavor.
- Try it made with white chocolate flavored coffee.
- For a stronger coffee flavor and jolt of caffeine, add a shot (or more) of espresso.
- No creamer in the fridge and no time to make homemade? Substitute chocolate milk and a splash of peppermint extract.
- For a caffeine-free version, make with decaffeinated coffee.

Ingredients
- 8 ounces cold coffee
- 2 Tablespoons chocolate syrup
- ¼ cup International Delight® Peppermint Mocha creamer
- ice
- whipped cream optional
- candy canes or peppermint sticks and crushed peppermint candies for garnish
Instructions
- Combine cold coffee and chocolate syrup. Stir well to combine.
- Pour into a tall glass over ice, then top with ¼ cup International Delight® Peppermint Mocha creamer.
- Garnish with whipped cream, crushed peppermint candy and a candy cane or peppermint stick.
