    Festive & Easy Pomegranate Mimosa

    Cooking, Drinks Jump to Recipe

festive pomegranate mimosa made with prosecco

This post is sponsored by BabbleBoxx.com. Read my full disclosure policy here.

Simplify your holiday entertaining by keeping a few key items on hand that will make your home guest-ready in a snap. Learn what easy snacks to keep on hand, and learn how to mix a quick and easy pomegranate mimosa that is great for brunch and cocktail parties.

The holiday season is a great time to invite people over. But don’t fall into that trap of thinking you have to go all out or throw a big party. Don’t be afraid of an impromptu gathering.

Our homes don’t have to be perfect, and the food doesn’t have to be homemade for guests to feel welcome or for them to have a good time. And when you stress less, you’re more likely to enjoy holiday entertaining.

Christmas tree decorated with gold ribbon and pink and green ornaments in a formal living room

So turn on those Christmas lights, and let me introduce you to a few products and tricks that will have you ready to party in a snap.

prosecco, chocolates, mochi ice cream and Scentsicles on a kitchen counter

Here’s what you need: Something to eat, something to drink and something to make your home smell like Christmas!

pink, green and gold ornaments on a Christmas tree decorated with gold ribbon

We have artificial trees and greenery in our home, so it doesn’t have that Christmas fragrance that you associate with the season.

Until I hung these ScentSicles scented Christmas ornaments on the tree. Each pack comes with six ornaments that are designed to blend into the tree and give you that fresh-cut smell without the mess or, frankly, the fire hazard.

When I want it to smell like Christmas, I also like using ScentSicles Table Ornaments, which are a great alternative to candles. The decorative holiday glass bowl is filled with fragranced paper filler, and I love to tuck it in near faux greenery.

Now through Dec. 31, 2018, you can earn $5 off purchase of $30 or more at ScentSicles with code BABBLEBOXX, or $1 off one item with code BABBLEBOXX1. You will also get free shipping on orders of $15 or more. (The coupon codes are not valid on bundles.)

    box of salted chocolate caramels

Now that we’ve got the house smelling like Christmas, let’s talk about what to serve your guests.

You can’t go wrong with artisan chocolate!

man's hand holding a chocolate salted caramel candy

Keep a box of Fran’s Chocolates Gray and Smoked Salt Caramels in your pantry for impromptu holiday entertaining. They’re great with coffee or with cocktails. Fran’s Chocolates is the originator of American salted caramels, and they are so delicious. Seriously, hide the box from yourself and don’t open it until the doorbell rings, or you won’t have any left for your guests.

I paired the chocolates with a pomegranate mimosa made with Cinzano Prosecco.

The salty sweet caramels with the dry, fruity and crisp Cinzano Prosecco — what a combo!

pomegranate mimosa and a box of chocolate salted caramels

This pomegranate mimosa couldn’t be easier to make! The rosy red color and the bubbles from the sparkling wine make it so festive.

pomegranate mimosa and a bottle of Cinzano prosecco

You’ll need just three ingredients to make this recipe: Cinzano Prosecco, pomegranate juice and pomegranate arils (the seeds.)

You can buy the seeds, prepackaged, at the grocery store, but it’s not as hard or as messy as you think to cut a pomegranate and remove its seeds.

You’ll get plenty of pretty arils from one fruit that you can then use to garnish your pomegranate mimosa.

Start by filling a champagne flute with one part of unsweetened pomegranate juice.

Pop the cork on a bottle of Cinzano Prosecco.

    Cheers!

When it comes to holiday parties, I think people like a little bit of fancy. This festive cocktail certainly qualifies.

But as the easy recipe proves, what looks and tastes fancy doesn’t have to be difficult to prepare.

Mochi ice cream on a blue and white cake stand

These My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream treats are another fun, “fancy” thing to serve. They’re a fun fusion of premium ice cream wrapped in traditional, sweet, melt-in-your-mouth rice mochi dough.

Kids will love them because they look like snowballs, especially the vanilla ones.

I hope these tips, products and ideas will inspire you to entertain more and stress less this holiday season.
