Mix in vintage finds and add vibrant pops of lemon yellow and boxwood green accents to your summer porch decor for a fresh look.
The citrus hues are coming in hot on our front porch.
I used lemons and boxwood, plus lots of bold green and lemon yellow accents to create this cozy, collected summer look for our front porch.
Over the years and seasons, I’ve found that I really like having a neutral. black-and-white backdrop on our front porch. I can completely transform the look by changing the accessories and florals or swapping out the rug.
Our home is set back from the road, at the end of a cul-de-sac, and our front porch is covered. So, I don’t hesitate to use painted furniture and other items that might be considered “indoor only” in the space.
I love using secondhand finds on our porch, like the thrifted green demijohn and the vintage kitchen scale.
The lemon print bowls are from the dollar store, but here’s a similar set from Amazon.
I used the same set of dishes, paired with some blue-and-white chinoiserie, to create a fresh tablescape.
If you don’t have a green thumb, or if you don’t want to be bothered with watering plants throughout the heat of summer, faux boxwood topiaries are a good choice for a summer porch.
And whatever you do, don’t forget the lemonade! A glass over ice, or a homemade frosted lemonade, is so refreshing on a hot summer day!
