Star Wars Party Ideas: Decorations
Though it may seem we went all out for the party — and OK, maybe we did! –a lot of the decorations were DIY, made from basic dollar store materials.
Though it does take time, I love the process of making party decor and favors from scratch, rather than buying off-the-shelf products. It lets me be creative because I need that like I need air to breathe. Plus, I consider the time and effort I spend in making a party special part of my gift to Jackson. I guarantee you he’ll never forget this party!
We added printable R2-D2 labels to the cups that we found at Catch My Party. (If you’re a fan of The Force Awakens, you can also make these BB-8 party cups.) And Stacey made the lightsaber napkin holders using a free printable from Catch My Party.
Star Wars experts will notice we only used napkins that are the same colors as lightsabers! At times, it felt like we had George Lucas directing the party details. (Eight-year-old Star Wars fans are a particular lot!)
Next up, goodies for our party guests.
