When I’m planning a party, I like to carry the theme through as many elements as possible and really focus on the details.
So, when we were throwing our recent Captain American party, I wanted to make some memorable invitations that would set the tone for the event.
With my husband’s help, I created these dossier-style invitations about the Winter Soldier, the antagonist in the second Captain America movie.
We weren’t so much throwing a party as assembling our own team of Avengers to bring in the rogue soldier, and I wanted the invitations to reflect that.
My husband, who is the comic book expert around here, wrote this memo calling all S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to a special meeting at our house. Some key information has been redacted, just as it would be in a top secret government file.
You can download a copy of the printable Captain America dossier party invitation. Just print it out on letter-size paper. Each page includes two invitations.

To make the dossiers, I cut a plain file folder in half and used a paper clip to attach the memo on the inside. Each file folder is marked Top Secret.
These free printable top secret labels are designed to print on clear address labels or any 1-inch by 2 5/8 inch mailing label. (You can find ones that will work through this affiliate link.)
To add to the intrigue of the Captain America party and the mission, we didn’t mail the invitations. Instead, we hid them in our guests’ backpacks at school or left them on their doorsteps, just like a real S.H.I.E.L.D. directive might be delivered.
Before guests were admitted to the party, we had to confirm they were who they claimed to be.
Several people claimed to be Captain America, but only one was the real deal!
We provided each guest with a personalized S.H.I.E.L.D. ID badge. I included a photo, along with each person’s name and title on their badge.
But I also made these blank printable Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. badges you can customize for your party guests.
This version will allow you to type in guests names. Just click on the fields that say LAST NAME and First name and replace the text with your guests’ names. Or you can write in guests’ names using this version of the name badges.
Just print the badges out on a sheet of letter-sized card stock or perforated business cards and insert into plastic badge holders. Add names and photos, if you like.
By the way, if you scan the QR phone on the printable badges, it will take you to a fun Captain America website.

It should work for you; the only issue would be if you don’t have the same fonts I used installed on your computer. But I think I used fairly standard ones. Let me know if you have any problems.

For the badges, just open with your PDF viewer and click on the fields that say LAST NAME and FIRST NAMEA and replace them with your party guests’ names.
