Like many people around the world, I’m feeling pretty thankful for the everyday heroes who are going to work everyday to keep us safe and supplied with the essentials we need to survive.
We all owe them our gratitude. The best way to do that now is by staying home, reducing the potential for exposure and flattening the curve. But it might also help them — and you — to send these brave, hardworking people a heartfelt thank you note.
To make that as easy as possible, I have rounded up a collection of thank you cards you can print at home — without leaving the house.
How to Use Printable Thank You Cards
Who deserves our thanks?
I am talking, of course, about the essential workers who do not have the luxury of staying at home during a global pandemic.
Health care workes. First responders. Delivery drivers. Grocery store employees. Warehouse employees. Postal employees. Restaurant staff. Reporters and photographers. Government employees. Sanitation workers. Farmers. And many, many others whose jobs are essential to our health and well being.
Write a personal message and drop one of these printable thank you cards in the mail to an essential worker you know. Leave one on the doorstep for the UPS or FedEx driver the next time you’re expecting an Amazon order. Put a card in the trunk of your car for the grocery store clerk or WalMart employee who shopped your pick-up order.
If you can afford to do so, you may also want to include a tip to further show your appreciation. Many of essential workers could use the extra cash during this time.
You’ll find a variety of different thank you notes in the links below. These include printable thank you cards for kids, watercolor thank you notes, coloring sheet thank you cards, teacher thank you notes, thank you cards for doctors, nurses and mother medical professionals and more.
I definitely encourage you to make writing thank you notes a family activity. Kids and adults alike will benefit from expressing thanks and gratitude. And it’s quite likely that you’ll be a bright spot in someone’s day.
Remember to always spread kindness as we collectively fight this virus.
