N.C. Bloggers Meetup: From Downtown to Downton

    Atta Girl Amy

It’s time to unite the virtual world with the real world and meet some of your favorite North Carolina blogging friends in person.

Suzy at Worthing Court and I are hosting a Hometalk N.C. Bloggers Meetup for home decor bloggers and readers here in Greensboro, N.C. on Saturday, May 11.

If you’re a blogger (or a fan of blogs), you’re invited to join us for a day filled with thrifting and antiquing, wonderful food and great mingling.

We’ll begin with breakfast in the downtown Old Greensborough historic district at The Farmer’s Wife, a fabulous antique store full of inspiration and unique finds.

    Subscribe to Atta Girl Says!

Get our delicious recipes, latest posts and exclusive content delivered straight to your inbox.

Then, you’ll have a few hours to browse the many great vintage and antique stores in downtown Greensboro, before we head to our next stop, Irving Park Plaza, where you’ll find lots of high-low shopping options at places like Summerhouse, Me & E, Coco Larose, Rustic Romance and more. We don’t have a group sit-down lunch planned to allow more time for shopping, but there are plenty of places to grab a bite in Irving Park Plaza, whether you want a sit-down lunch, fast casual fare or a sandwich on the go.

From Irving Park Plaza, we’ll head north to Summerfield for refreshments and shopping at Golden Antiques & Treasures antique mall and more shopping and southern hospitality at its finest at Total Bliss.

We’ll end our day with at the lovely Deer Cottage, a picturesque English cottage that has been featured in Southern Living magazine, for a Downton Abbey inspired tea private tea party. (We will be well fed and entertained at Deer Cottage.)

We’ll also be giving away prizes for the best Downton-style hat and playing a fun game of Downton Abbey trivia.

The cost for From Downtown to Downton is $45 per person, which includes Eventbrite’s ticket processing fee.

The ticket prize also includes includes breakfast, snacks and drinks throughout the day, the private tea party, plus swag from Hometalk and other donors. Many of the stores where we will be shopping will be offering special discounts to our group, and others are planning hands-on demos and projects.

After you purchase a ticket, you will get more information about our full itinerary, a full list of the stores we’ll be visiting, a list of lunchtime dining options, directions, transportation information and the organizers’ contact numbers.

To purchase a ticket for the Hometalk N.C. Bloggers Meetup, From Downtown to Downton, visit our Eventbrite page or use the widget below. Space is limited, so we recommend you reserve your spot early.

      Hello!
I just discovered that there’s a network of North Carolina bloggers this week! How very exciting. I’m in the Raleigh area, so not technically part of this event, but I couldn’t help myself. Had to say HI! 🙂

Oh how I wish I could break out my inner Countess and have high tea with you! I know it will be amazing. And I’m over the top thrilled about your new shop with Shriley – wish I could get my retail therapy on there!
