Halloween craft ideas don’t get much easier than this!
These batty ghosts are quick and easy to make — and so stinking cute!
I was inspired to make these vampire ghosts after seeing a tutorial in the free Halloween ebook from Make It: Fun® Crafts.
To make these ghosts, you will need:
- cheesecloth
- 3-inch FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Foam balls
- craft knife
- fabric paint
- black card stock
- bat wing pattern from the Make It: Fun® Crafts Halloween eBook
- fishing line or dental floss
- straight pins
- hot glue
The original instructions called using 4-inch foam balls, but I wanted my ghost a little smaller, with longer tails. So, I used 3-inch balls.
Cut two 12-inch squares of cheesecloth and overlap them so you have eight points. Place foam ball in the center and drape the cheesecloth over it.
Using craft paint, draw spooky (or goofy) faces on your batty ghosts.
Print out the bag wing pattern from the ebook and trace onto black card stock. Use a craft knife to cut slits on the back of each ghost to fit the wings. Secure with hot glue.
To hang ghosts, tie dental floss or fishing line around a straight pin. Stick the pins into the top of the ghosts and secure with hot glue.
I think our trick or treaters are going to love these blood-sucking ghosts!
For more quick and easy Halloween craft ideas, be sure to check out the ebook. It is packed with great projects.
And be sure to check out this tutorial for how to make a Legend of Sleepy Hollow sign. While it looks like wood, I also made it using FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Foam.
