This pretty Christmas embroidery hoop wreath was a cinch to whip up using faux eucalyptus stems, red berries, floral picks and pinecones. What I love about these wreaths is that you don’t need lots of supplies, like you might for a traditional wreath. Just a few pieces of greenery, floral picks and embellishments.
While it definitely has a Christmas vibe, this simple farmhouse-style wreath could be used all winter long.

Supplies to Make an Embroidery Hoop Wreath
- wooden embroidery hoop
- eucalpytus stems
- assorted floral picks (I used an icy floral spray as well as inexpensive red berries)
- floral wire
- wire cutters
- miniature pine cones
- hot glue and glue gun
- red striped ribbon
How to Make an Embroidery Hoop Wreath
I used an 8-inch wooden hoop for this embroidery hoop wreath, but you can use any size you like. And you can actually get two wreaths out of one hoop, which makes this a really affordable craft to do with a group. If you’ve ever priced out miniature wreaths for kitchen cabinets or the backs of chairs, these are an inexpensive DIY alternative.
Separate the outer and inner wooden rings. Set the outer ring aside for another wreath or another project.
Use wire cutters to snip eucalyptus stems and attach them to the wooden hoop using floral wire.
Layer on icy picks and faux berries, securing with more floral wire.
Use hot glue to attach miniature pine cones to the wooden hoop. I love using the snowy pinecones with the icy floral picks.
Loop a coordinating ribbon around the hoop so you can hang your wreath.
And now it’s ready to hang!
