One of my favorite projects in my craft room and home office makeover is the oversized bulletin board hanging above my desk.
I picked up the fabulous gold frame at a local consignment store. I promptly cast aside the ugly painting that was inside the frame, but I saved the canvas for another project, another day.
Initially, I planned to use the bulletin board as a mood board, but then I remembered I am short and my desk is deep.
So, the chance of me being able to reach across my desk and pin anything on it are pretty much impossible.
But I had to pretty my bulletin board up some way.
So, I headed over to The Graphics Fairy, my favorite source for vintage botanicals, antique images and free printables.
I found a selection of pretty leaves and flowers and printed them from my home computer. I made sure to print the floral images at high quality and to print them all the same size.
Then, I used decorative brass brads to hang them on my bulletin board.
It reminds me of something from the Ballard Designs catalog, but for a fraction of the price.

I used the following images from The Graphics Fairy to create my cheap wall art:

I love decorating with vintage botanicals; there’s something so classic and timeless about them.
I have a series of large-scale botanicals hanging on a large wall in my living room. (If you’re feeling festive and have some time, please take my Christmas home tour; it’s my favorite season for decorating.)
The artwork above the sofa in the living room were too big for me to print on my own, but I still managed to create the entire grouping for about $200, including the cost of the frames!
