How to Make Alcoholic Popsicles
It’s super easy to make your own boozy ice pops at home. Just mix up one of the recipes linked below, pour the mix into an ice pop mold, freeze and enjoy!
A funnel or a measuring cup with a pour spout is helpful when filling ice pop molds. Just be sure not to overfill molds to allow for expansion when frozen.
One of the biggest challenges when making alcoholic popsicles, or any ice pops, is removing the frozen treats from their molds.
I like using silicon ice pop molds because you can just peel them away from the frozen popsicles. (This is a fun mold because it lets you make three different shapes at the same time– square, round and star.)
If freezer space is tight, you might want a compact mold like this one that fits in the freezer door.
With a quick pops maker, like Zoku, you can make popsicles in as little as 7 minutes, as long as you pre-chill the base in the freezer ahead of time. A stainless steel fast-freeze popsicle mold is another good option.
If you don’t have a silicon mold, take the frozen pops out of the freezer for a few minutes and gently and slowly wiggle the popsicles out. You can also place the mold in hot water to make it easier to remove the ice pops — just don’t leave them too long or they’ll melt!
