Like my grandmother before me, I have found joy behind an easel, paintbrush in hand.
I am a newer artist, but a lifelong creative. As I hone my skills as an artist, I enjoy getting lost in the process of painting, channeling my emotions in paint and leaving behind the stress of my world on the canvas. I love experimenting with different media, including acrylic and oil paints, watercolor and collage.
My style is impressionistic and colorful; you’ll often see the relics of my latest work smudged across my face, hands and clothing.
My art is very much like my garden — awash with colorful blooms, a little wild and imperfect, but so joyful.
I often paint florals that have been picked from my garden and arranged in vintage vases and containers that I collect. I love including vintage items, motifs or ephemera in my paintings and collages, a nod to the creative, resourceful women from my past who helped shape me.
I bring the same colorful approach to my landscapes and interior paintings. I try to highlight the beauty of the ordinary places and spaces, not just scenic vistas.

Artstock 2025
Join more than 50 artists during the Artstock open studio tour Oct. 4 and 5 at locations throughout Greensboro and High Point. Artists’ studios will be open from 12-5 p.m. both days as they showcase and sell their work.
I’ll be joining my art teacher Katie Podracky and other students at her studio at 3022 Lake Forest Dr., Greensboro both days. I will have a selection of original paintings, handpainted holiday ornaments and notecards avaialble for sale.
Select works from artists will also be on display at the Center for Visual Artists Gallery, 200 N. Davie St., #13, Greensboro, beginning Oct. 2. An opening reception is scheduled from 6-9 p.m. Oct. 2. at the CVA Gallery, which is in the Greensboro Cultural Center.

Vintage Ornament Watercolor Collection
My vintage Christmas ornament collection is one of my prized possessions. Every holiday season, I decorate multiple tinsel trees with Shiny Brites and other colorful ornaments. In 2024, I began painting some of my favorites in watercolor.

Christmas Poinsettia & Amaryllis Collection
In the bleakness of winter, poinsettia and amaryllis blooms add a festive, lively touch to my home.
These watercolor and gouache paintings celebrate the many varieties and beautiful colors of these wintertime flowers. These whimsical florals were created using acrylic gouache on gelli plate, then finished in watercolor and ink.
