An oversized brass bowl filled with dusty blue pumpkins and greenery makes a simple, stunning fall centerpiece. The blue and aqua chinoiserie toile wallpaper is the real showstopper in this traditional dining room.
Our dining room has a brand new look for fall now that the walls are dressed with a gorgeous new blue and aqua toile wallpaper.
I’m so glad I took a risk and chose this beautiful floral bird print wallpaper instead of the aqua grasscloth I was originally considering.

The wallpaper pattern is Fanciful from York Wallcoverings Ashford Toiles collection.
Both wallpaper options would have been pretty in the space, but the chinoiserie-style bird print definitely puts a bigger smile on my face. And shouldn’t our rooms make us feel that way?
Besides, I’ve never been able to resist anything with a bird on it. (That gold bird lamp is a favorite secondhand find. The color is a perfect match for the wallpaper.)
Hanging curtains is still on the to-do list for the dining room, as I’m still on the hunt for a new curtain rod.
I’m still putting some other finishing touches on the dining room, in addition to the curtains, but I couldn’t resist sharing a glimpse of the space decorated for fall.
Since the wallpaper is such a showstopper, I kept the fall table decor simple, filling an oversized brass bowl with dusty blue, green and white pumpkins and greenery.
I set the table with coordinating antique gold chargers, our wedding china and some aqua accent plates. Navy blue napkins cinched with gold bird napkin rings complete the simple fall table decor.
I also gave our chandelier a little makeover, dyeing the shades to match the ceiling. A tutorial on how I did that is coming soon, plus I have another project planned to add more drama and interest to the ceiling.
