Easy Slow Cooker Brunswick Stew
A thick, hearty and slightly tangy southern style Brunswick stew packed with shredded chicken vegetables and cooked in the slow cooker.

- 5 cups chopped onion
- 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts you can add more if you like
- 2 14.5 ounce cans cream-style corn
- 2 14.5 14.5 ounce cans diced or stewed tomatoes
- 1 14.5 ounce can potatoes
- 1 14.5 ounce can cut green beans
- 1 14.5 ounce can lima beans
- 1 14-ounce can chicken broth
- 1 12-ounce ounce bottle chili sauce
- 1/4 cup butter cut into small pieces
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
Place chopped onion in the bottom of a 6- to 8-quart slow cooker and top with chicken.
Add corn and the remaining ingredients, stirring well.
Cover and cook on high for 1 hour.
Reduce heat to low setting and cook for 6 hours or until chicken is tender.
Remove chicken, shred and return to the stew.
Serve with Saltine crackers to get the true Southern Brunswick stew experience.
