Easy Pie Crust Cinnamon Sugar Hearts

These flaky cinnamon-sugar pie crust cookies are delicious served with whipped cream and jam or as a garnish for ice cream and other desserts.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 refrigerated pie crust dough
  • 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425° F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Allow the pie crust to sit out at room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes, then unroll.
  • Use cookie cutters to cut out heart shapes from the pie dough. Place cookies on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Roll out any remaining pie dough and repeat.
  • Combine sugar and cinnamon in a bowl or shaker.
  • Brush each pie crust heart with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on the heart-shaped cookies.
  • Bake cookies 5-7 minutes until they are golden and flaky, but not burned.
  • Cool for 5 minutes, then remove from the pan.
  • Serve with whipped cream and jam.
