Cherry Yum Yum is a delicious no-bake dessert that is popular for family gatherings, church suppers and potlucks. It features a buttery graham cracker crusted topped with layers of whipped, no-bake cheesecake filling and cherries.
1 21-ouncecan cherry pie filling
1package Dream Whip powder
1 3/4cupgraham cracker crumbs
6Tablespoons(3/4 stick) butter, melted
In a mixing bowl, pour the melted butter over graham cracker crumbs. Stir until coated, then add 1/4 cup sugar. Mix until combined, using a wooden spoon or your hands.
Reserve 1/4 cup of graham cracker crumb mixture to use as a topping.
Press the remaining graham cracker crumb mixture into an 8-inch square glass baking dish or a deep-dish glass pie pan.
Using a stand mixer or an electric hand mixer, beat the Dream Whip and milk together until thick.
Add the cream cheese and remaining sugar to the whipped mixture. Mix until creamy.
Using a spatula, top the graham cracker crust with a layer of the whipped mixture.
Next spoon on a layer of cherry pie fill, then top with another layer of the mixture whipped. Continue alternating filling, ending with the whipped mixture.
Top with remaining crumbs and chill for several hours, or preferably overnight, before serving.
This recipe can be doubled.
You may use reduced fat cream cheese for this recipe.
You can substitute other fruit pie fillings for the cherry pie filling.
