Stir to combine.
Add sugar or sweetener and stir once more, or you may opt to omit the sweetener at this stage and add it when serving the sangria.
Cover and refrigerate for several hours, or even overnight, before serving.
To serve, add a layer of peaches and strawberries to the bottom of a wine glass.
Fill the glass halfway with ice cubes. Add sangria, filling glass about ¾ full. Make sure to add some of the fruit that has been soaking in the wine.
Top with club soda and sweeten to taste.
Garnish with a citrus wedge.
