I must confess; I haven’t done a lot of decorating for spring.
I’ve been so enraptured with the warm, sunny days we’ve had that I’ve been neglecting my projects and spring cleaning, too. And there’s a lot of that to do, as well, especially here in the pollen-laden south. (I walked on my porch today and when I came back inside, my flip-flops left yellow footprints on the hardwood floors!)
But I was inspired to create a new spring wreath for the front door after seeing a gorgeous one featuring purple, yellow and white flowers and greenery at my favorite local store.
I started with a bunch of realistic-looking faux flowers in my color palette, plus ferns and other greenery.
Then I just started adding stems, dogwood, thistle, forsythia, pansies and other pretties.
A pop of yellow here, a burst of purple there.
All nestled together like wildflowers in the garden.
Until everything looked just so and it was ready to hang on the front door.
After I finished the wreath, I had lots of flowers leftover, so I commenced with another project. But that’s for another day.
Now, it’s time for you to visit my blogging friends to see how they’re celebrating spring.

Your wreath is beautiful – I love the color combo you chose. I also live in the south and the yellow pollen is so bad here that everything is covered in yellow. Thank goodness we are now at the end for this season. Thank you for sharing at Share It One More Time. Cathy

Stopping by from Sunday’s Best linkup. The wreath is beautiful. I love the yellow, it’s one of my favorite colors for decorating the home. I need to make a wreath for my front door. Thanks for the inspiration.

Amy I have been the same way. It is like pulling teeth for me to do anything around here right now. Thankfully the pollen for the most part has dwindled out here in Texas. We only had a few weeks of the yellow stuff. I can remember have a full spring of it back home in Augusta. Thank you for being a part of the blog hop. I love your wreath and i think it came out way better than your inspiration. You rocked it girl!

What a gorgeous wreath! I love the colors and would never have guessed they are not real! We have been having monsoons here in NC so I should have been cleaning inside, but have not been motivated. It’s either pollen or rain, it seems!

That’s beautiful, Amy. I have not added the first flower on my front porch. I have empty pots with dirt and leaves in them. I need to get moving.

What a beautiful Spring wreath, Amy! I love the colors you chose … it’s a perfect shade (or “shades”) of Spring for your door! I need to add a bit of color to our door, too, now! Thanks for the inspiration … fun to party with you!
