That gorgeous day inspired me to set our outdoor farmhouse table for a festive, yet rustically simple, Christmas brunch.
I’m sharing the details of the tablescape as part of a fun blog hop organized by Barb of The Everyday Home and Susie of The Chelsea Project.
Lots of holiday home tours are centered around the mantel, the dining room table or the family room. Today, my blogging friends and I thought it would be fun to tour the areas outside of the home — porches and patios and beyond. Please join us…but bundle up because “Baby It’s Cold Outside!”
A few summers ago, we added a large patio and pergola in our backyard, and we have thoroughly enjoyed having an outdoor room where we can relax and entertain. It has hosted cookouts, al fresco meals, birthday parties, holiday celebrations, cocktails with friends, outdoor movie nights, Nerf gun battles and now a simple holiday brunch.
For this tablescape, I challenged myself to use what I already had. I used a fresh pine garland, accented with holly leaves to decorate the 8-foot rustic outdoor farmhouse table.
OK, I may have spent $2 — 25 cents a piece on these peppermint sticks!
I used galvanized chargers, milk bottles, my fun Christmas china, red napkins and zinc place cards for each place setting along the farmhouse table.
The fixings were simple: milk served from a farmhouse style pitcher and cinnamon rolls served from an iron skillet.
We’re just waiting for the bacon and sausage to finish cooking so we can dig in.
I’m so glad you could join us for the Baby It’s Cold Outside tour. Be sure to visit the other participants using the links at the end of this post. And if you’re interested in any of the items I used in my farmhouse table Christmas brunch, you can shop this post from the links below, as well.
