Kids will go wild for these fruity-scented popsicle soaps. You can make a batch of this easy homemade soap in just 10 minutes using your microwave! These popsicle soaps are great party favors or a summertime craft with kids

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!!!

Bathtime is a lot more fun (and adorable) when you lather up with these fruit-scented popsicle soaps.

It’s no secret that I love making homemade bath and beauty products using lots of different fun molds and seasonal scents.

But this popsicle-shaped easy homemade soap recipe might be my favorite. Look at how cute they are! And they only take about 10 minutes to make, not counting the time it takes for the soap to set and solidify.

I used some old Tupperware popsicle molds to make these soap bars. And that works just fine, although you do have to “hack” things a bit to secure the popsicle sticks while the soap hardens. But if you want to make things really easy on yourself, get a silicone mold with a slot for wooden sticks. No hack required. And homemade soap is much easier to remove from flexible silicone molds. (Since I wasn’t using the plastic sticks that came with my Tupperware mold, I had to cut some pieces of cardboard to hold the popsicle sticks in place while the soap set up.)

This recipe will make approximately five 3-ounce popsicle soaps. The exact quantity depends on the volume of the popsicle mold you are using. Be sure to adjust colorant and fragrance to fit. This fragrance calculator from Brambleberry is helpful in determining how much scent to add.

    Supplies

    • popsicle molds (I used an old-school Tupperware set from a yard sale, but I really like this easy-release silicone mold)
    • fruit fragrance oil (Brambleberry has lots of good options, too)
    • liquid soap colorant
    • 1 pound white melt and pour soap base
    • wooden popsicle sticks
    • waterproof ink pads or markers
    • assorted fruit stamps
    • mini alphabet stamps
    • clear treat bags
    • ribbon
    • large glass measuring cup
    • rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle

    Instructions

Cut one pound of soap base into one-inch cubes. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring each time, until completely melted.

Add liquid soap colorant until you achieve the desired color. Stir to fully incoporate the color. The exact number of drops needed will depend on the color and how vibrant you want your popsicle soaps to be.

Add .30 ounce of fragrance for each pound of soap base used. Stir to incorporate.

Slowly pour the liquid soap into the popsicle molds. Spritz the top of each one lightly with alcohol to burst any air bubbles, then add the sticks.

Allow to cool and harden for four hours, or overnight.

Remove soap from the molds and wrap in plastic.

If you want to make layered soap popsicles, let each layer cool for 10 to 15 minutes, until a thick skin has formed on top. Then spray with alcohol and pour on the next color layer.

I decided to add some fun details to the popsicle sticks by stamping the scent on each one using miniature alphabet and fruit stamps. Be sure to use waterproof ink or markers so the ink doesn’t run in the shower or tub.

Which scent would you choose? Blueberry? Key Lime? Strawberry? Electric Lemonade? Lemon Berry? Blueberry Lemonade?

I packaged these popsicle soaps in clear plastic treat bags, tied with coordinating ribbon.
