Tour this beautiful master bedroom sitting room for Christmas mantel ideas to inspire your own holiday decorating.
For all the Christmas decorating I do, I usually run out of steam by the time I get to our bedroom.
This holiday season, I decided to start my decorating in our master bedroom sitting room. I found everything I needed to transform the space into a cozy and serene spot at my local At Home store.
At Home is a Christmas wonderland. Every time I shop there, I find something I missed the last time! Stores carry thousands of holiday items available at everyday low prices. I’m not just talking trees and ornaments, but also throws and pillows, signs, wreaths and garlands, Christmas inflatables, trays, lanterns, entertaining items and more – for indoors and out.
I’m excited to share my Christmas mantel ideas featuring some of my favorite At Home finds.
At the end of a busy day, we love relaxing in front of the fireplace. And I usually spend many hours here every Christmas season wrapping gifts. So I definitely wanted to dress up the mantel and hearth for Christmas.
Our bedroom is decorated in shades of blue, white and silver with birds everywhere in our fabrics. I let that color scheme guide me when selecting Christmas decorations for the bedroom.
For the mantel, I chose a sparkling, icy poinsettia garland from At Home, accented with a few pine picks.
I hung a coordinating frosted pearl pine wreath above the fireplace.
I added a few additional floral picks and poinsettias to further tie the wreath and garland together. I love that At Home offers so many coordinating collections of Christmas decor.
Since there’s a TV hiding behind the blue panel above the mantel, I kept that area mostly clear. But I couldn’t resist these tall mercury glass candlesticks at each end.
I’ve always wanted a flocked Christmas tree, and now I’m wondering why I waited so long.
Rather than buying a big one for this space, I used a 5-foot pre-lit tree and elevated it with a box weighed down with a case of soda! The tree skirt disguises the makeshift pedestal.
Because the flocked tree is so pretty, I didn’t want to overload it with ornaments. I wove some birch bark and sequined fur ribbon through the branches, then added snowy pinecones, feathery birds and a touch of sparkle.
Most of the ornaments I used on the tree are from At Home’s Ethereal Season or Winter’s Garden Christmas collections. (At Home offers 15 unique coordinating Christmas collections. I’ll be using decorations from some of those other collections elsewhere in the house this Christmas. And you can see some of these pretties in my Christmas home tour last year.)
I purchased the bird ornaments from At Home last year, and I love that the new items from Ethereal Season collection coordinate with them. This year, there are lots of furry, feathered, glittered and sequined owls, peacocks, hummingbirds and doves — even an adorable fur owl garland.
I loved the mercury glass look of these crackle ball ornaments. I only needed a few to add a touch of sparkle to the tree.
Around the base of the tree, I clustered some glittery birch branches, floral picks, poinsettia and pine sprays and a birch stump.
I hope our space and these blue-and-white Christmas mantel ideas have helped inspire you as you prepare to deck your halls for the holiday. Now, I think it’s time to take a break fireside with a cup of coffee and work on my Christmas list. I saw a lot of things at At Home I’d love to find under the tree!
