I used my Cricut Explore Air to create these fun custom can koozies. They can easily be customized using your favorite team colors, and you can make them for other sports, as well.
I love how a Cricut makes it easy to make personalized, themed party decor.

Instructions to Make Custom Can Koozies
To create the designs for my custom can koozies, I used a football, goal post, football helmet and pennant images from Cricut Design Space.
You can access the project here, if you want to make your own.
When I came up with the idea for this project, I honestly wasn’t sure it would work. I just wasn’t sure if the Cricut Explore Air would be able to cut cleanly through the craft foam. But my worries were unfounded.
I used the deep-cut blade, and set the dial on my Cricut to custom material.
Within Cricut Design Space, I used the setting for 2.32 mm Foam, Distressed, and it sliced through my craft foam like butter, while leaving the adhesive backing intact.
Even on small details, like the face mask on the helmet, the lacing on the football and the letters for the pennants.
Once I had all my football shapes cut, it was just a matter of peeling the foam off the backing and adhering it to a koozie.
I really love how these custom can koozies turned out.
While these are football themed in preparation for the upcoming Super Bowl, I can totally see making these for Father’s Day, summer cookouts or even a casual wedding reception or engagement party.
You could also personalize them for a kids’ sports team, making each player a koozie with his or her number on it. What a great team keepsake!
