Spiked chai tea latte is a wonderful cold-weather cocktail for fall or winter. Made it with bourbon or whiskey and your favorite chai.
I’m enjoying everything sweet about fall with Sweet’N Low® and sharing a spiked chai tea latte recipe as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. #donthesitaste Read my full disclosure policy here.
Yesterday as we were settling in for our nightly TV time, my husband brought me a fluffy blanket right out of the dryer.
As much as I love flip-flop weather and the long days of summer, I didn’t realize how much I’d missed fall until that moment. That toasty blanket was pure joy on a chilly day; I loved how it warmed my bones and relaxed me, all at the same time.
This spiked chia tea latte does the same thing, from the inside out.
It’s the perfect mug filler for an evening by the firepit. Or fill a Thermos and take it tailgating or hayriding.
You could make your own chai tea mix using spices and black tea, but I just used a couple of prepackaged chai tea bags to make this warm, fall cocktail. Why reinvent the wheel or overcomplicate things?
I do, however, recommend that you take the time to dry some orange slices to use in your tea. It adds a nice depth of flavor, and it’s a pretty garnish when you’re serving guests.
Just cut an orange into thin slices and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for two or three hours at 200 degrees, flipping occasionally. You won’t mind the oven being on that long now that fall temperatures are on their way.
Did I mention this is a sugar-free toddy, sweetened with zero-calorie Sweet’N Low® instead of sugar. Using Sweet’N Low® cuts down on the calories in this drink, which is a good thing since it’s spiked with bourbon or whiskey — your choice.
How much you add is also your choice!
I really wish my blog was scratch-and-sniff because this smells as amazing as it tastes!

Sounds like a good recipe, but I would have to go with regular sugar or raw sugar. Found you over at #BestoftheBlogosphere

Chai tea lattes are one of my favorite drinks! Definitely my go-to, since I’m not really a fan of coffee. And who wouldn’t want to kick it up a notch with a spiked version? I love this version of my favorite drink. Thanks for sharing!
