When’s the last time you made a craft that uses old socks?
Well, you’re going to need a pair of fuzzy socks — old or new — plus some quilt batting and other craft supplies for this fun no-sew craft.
I’m excited to be participating in another No-Sew Showcase with some of my favorite bloggers. We’re all sharing a no-sew Christmas project that you can whip up in no time at all.
These snowman Christmas ornaments are easy and quick to make! And they’re pretty adorable, too!
Here’s what you’ll need to make these fun ornaments:
- foam balls
- quilt batting
- orange felt
- fuzzy socks
- baker’s twine
- googly eyes
- black beads
- rick rack or decorative ribbon
- pom poms
- hot glue
- scissors
Wrap quilt batting around foam ball. Secure with baker’s twine and trim away excess.
Cut sock to make hat or scarf. Use the toe part for a hat and the ankle part for a scarf.
Use hot glue to attach sock hat or scarf to the tied end of the snowball.
Add a pom pom ball to the top of the hat.
For the ear muffs, hot glue two pom poms on the side of the snowball. Use ribbon or rick rack to make the headband.
Decorate snowman’s face with google eyes, a small triangle of orange felt for the nose and black beads for the mouth. Use hot glue to attach.
Add a loop of ribbon on the back of the snowman as a hanger.
Pretty cute, huh?
Be sure you check out the no-sew projects from the other bloggers.
