Add a pop of statement color and pattern to your home with one of these gorgeous, bold vintage area rugs.

Maybe I’m still influenced by my 1980s preppie fashion upbringing,

A lot of homeowners are incorporating more neutrals and black-and-white tones into their living spaces because of the farmhouse style influence. But I’m swinging the other way and bring in more and more pops of color and pattern.

Your entryway or foyer is the first impression guests will have of your home. It's a great way to let your decorating personality shine. I'm in love with this show stopping pink and aqua rug, the painted buffet, the vintage pottery and everything about this foyer. What does your foyer decor say about your style? #sponsored

I’ve always been a color lover, dating back to my banana clip, big bangs and neon miniskirt days.

I recently added a bold pink-and-aqua vintage area rug from Rugs USA to the foyer, and it makes smile every time I look at it.

Chroma Mosaic Medallion Rug

Why I love it: This is the rug I picked for our foyer. It was definitely a love-at-first sight moment. I’m in love with the faded, vintage style of the rug. I also love the juxtaposition of a traditional pattern in unexpected colors. It heleps that the two main hues — pink and aqua — are “my colors” used in many places throughout our home.

Aqua Kerman Vintage and Overdyed Rug

Why I love it: I’m thinking this rug might be the perfect candidate for my home office and craft room space. The more-green-than-blue aqua is a beautiful shade, and it’s not one you see everywhere. I also love the tone-on-tone traditional design.

Chroma Abstract Seascape Rug

Why I love it: I’m a big fan of abstract art, and this area rug reminds me of a painting. Just look at all those colors; there’s so much depth. I’m pretty sure this rug would match anything! I don’t have a space for it in my home, but I think it could be stunning in the right room.

Radiante Wild Pastel Garden Rug

Why I love it: I’m reminded of gorgeous Italian tile when I look at this area rug. I love how saturated the colors are and how they pop against the brown background, which has a slight faux bois effect.

Bosphorus Neon Snowflake Medallion Rug

Why I love it: I did mention that I came of age in the neon 1980s. And this rug does neon right, pairing orange with blue, its opposite on the color wheel. And that little touch of hot pink? Like adding a punchy pink purse to an already amazing outfit.

Ashlina Printed Persian Overdyed Vintage Rug

Why I love it: This rug is more subdued than the others in the collection, but it still has great presence. I love the overdyed look, and navy and aqua are one of my favorite color combos. (Remember my guest bedroom?)

Chroma Rosy Floral Rug

Why I love it: Nobody is going to put this hot pink baby in a corner. But if you do, that’s going to be one amazing corner! While many vintage area rugs feature muted tones, I just love the unexpected pairing of a bold color with the washed-out effect. It reminds me of a pair of acid washed jeans I had back in the day. The jeans were stonewashed but they had big acid-washed pockets running down the front. I’m sure they were a horrid fashion choice, but this rug is a much better execution of the same effect.

Bosphorus Mardin Regal Clover Rug

Why I love it: I feel like you can look at this rug forever and find some new detail every time. The pattern is amazingly intricate, and the jewel tones are gorgeous. This is how you do lots of color.

Kerman Casual Overdyed Rug

Why I love it: This rug is more casual than the others in this curated collection of vintage area rugs. It reminds me of shibori tie dye, but in a teal green color palette instead of the typical indigo.

Seasoned Floral Encompass Mandala Rug

Why I love it: I think this rug would be a perfect choice for a foyer, as well. You don’t want to hide that floral center medallion under a piece of furniture. Though this rug features lots of colors — aqua, pink, purple and orange — they’re beautifully muted. This rug looks like an expensive one that has faded over time. What a treasure.

Which of these vintage area rugs is your favorite?
