Learn how to use a Cricut Explore Air and craft foam to make  customized can koozies for the Big Game. These DIY koozies can be easily personalized for your favorite team or players.

Since our home team had a pretty rough season, we’re not as psyched about the playoffs and the Super Bowl as we were last year. But we still love watching football and serving up our favorite snacks and beverages to go along with the game.

When I came up with the idea for this project, I honestly wasn’t sure it would work. I just wasn’t sure if the Cricut Explore Air would be able to cut cleanly through the craft foam. But my worries were unfounded.

I used the deep-cut blade, and set the dial on my Cricut to custom material.

While these are football themed in preparation for the upcoming Super Bowl, I can totally see making these for Father’s Day, summer cookouts or even a casual wedding reception or engagement party.

You could also personalize them for a kids’ sports team, making each player a koozie with his or her number on it. What a great team keepsake!
