I’m the chief eye roller in this house.
But I think my husband may have rolled his that day I said, “Wouldn’t it be nice to have a farm? A pretty barn? And maybe some horses?”
I have no delusions that farm living is easy. I’ve watched enough episodes of Green Acres to know otherwise. But I can’t help but romanticize farm life every time I open up a magazine or visit a favorite blog or do a little window shopping at my favorite home decor shops.
As part of my 1-year Blogiversary Giveaway Bonanza, Barb is giving away a $25 gift certificate to her online shop to one lucky winner here at Atta Girl Says. To enter, just fill in the Rafflecopter form below.
Now, let’s decorate Atta Girl Farm with finds from Farmhouse Decor.
At night, I’d switch on this French bottle lamp at my bedside and read the classics and pen handwritten notes to my friends and family.
This burlap French Bee Stool would be perfect spot for my husband to rest his feet on after a long day of farming.
I’d tuck this French receipt tea towel into my apron while I cooked up homemade biscuits, served of course with butter made from our cows’ milk and homegrown and homemade strawberry jelly.
I’d announce the day’s menu and write little notes of reminder or encouragement on my farmhouse chalkboard.
We’d keep track of our bills and other important papers in this printer’s cabinet.
Our chickens would keep these numbered egg cups filled.
And our cows would provide us fresh milk daily. plus enough to share with our neighbors. We’d surprise them every morning with an old-fashioned delivery in this wire milk bottle carrier.
I’d fill this dough bowl with dried lavender grown on our land.
With the fresh milk and all the canning I’d be doing, this bottle drying rack would be put to use every day.
And speaking of Mason jars, I’d use one to dispense the all-natural soap I’d make from our lavender crop.
I’d collect the wash in this French laundry cart.
And while our laundry is drying on the line, I’d walk our acreage, picking fresh flowers to brighten our rooms. Or maybe I’d just drop a bunch in this rusty metal bucket and call it an arrangement.
Wow, I’m getting tired from all this
farming shopping. Head on over to Barb’s place, Farmhouse Decor, and scope out her beautiful shop, then come back here and post a comment telling me how you’d spend your the gift certificate if you won.

Disclosure: I’m friends with Barb, the owner of The Everyday Home and Farmhouse Decor, and she graciously donated a $25 gift certificate to me for my Blogiversary Giveaway Bonanza. I am seriously coveting so many items in her online shop, and I really wish I could win my own giveaway. But I can’t.
